MADDIE MADNESS

The Sunday Express is at it again! They are obviously without a decent cover story so have filled the front page with further revelations of the Madeleine McCann investigation.

After the last one about the alleged perpetrator being IN the apartment whilst Gerry was inspecting the children, it now seems that according to these investigative, ex-police, professionals, the person obtained entry by the use of a KEY, possibly left under the door mat! **

What utter CRAP! We have been going to the Algarve for almost 40 years and have never yet seen a door mat outside the front (or back) door of any Algarvian property. The McCanns have these so called Detectives clutching at straws in an effort to keep the investigation and publicity machines alive and remove any suspicion away from themselves, who so blatantly left their three young children alone whilst they went to enjoy themselves.

In the same issue of the paper(sic) they suggest that the British Government should supply funds to give added impetus to the investigation and go over all past evidence and seek for new clues. We are sure that there are thousands of people who would welcome this suggestion on the basis that Kate McCann first answered all the questions she so carefully refused to answer when she was confronted with them by the PJ in Portimao.
.
**If one thinks about it why would the McCanns need to leave a key under the door mat, even if there was one?

It is time this circus was stopped in its tracks. The fund should have been frozen the moment the Mccanns were made arguidos.Everyone seems to have forgotten about little Madeleine and what really happened to her. As long as this circus is allowed to continue the truth will never be known and maddie will never have a final resting place.

I think the Express should start by printing the police statements that were given to all 'journalists' and I use the term lightly. This also to include the statement given by Dr's Gaspar, regarding David Payne and their suspicions.... This also to be accompanied with a police statement from Leicstershire police as to why they saw fit to hold this information back from PJ, at such a crucial time.

Why also ,was Russel o 'Brian allowed to read his partners statement Tanners to 'refresh' his memory before giving his statement at the Leicestershire Police Dept. When has anyone ever been allowed to do this.? Just what is going on here?

The Express may also like to ask the public a question, why is it that only Kate Mccanns fingerprints are on the window that was claimed to be used by the 'abductor'. Also why did the dogs not pick up any scent in maddies bedroom, only behind the sofa and in a corner of the mccanns bedroom and flower bed directly under same window .So many questions ,how I wish I were a British reporter.

Some of the questions Kate refused to answer.

38. At a certain point you stopped working, why?

39. Are the twins difficult to get to sleep? Are they restless and does that cause you uneasiness?

40. Is it true that sometimes you despaired with your children's behaviour and that left you feeling very uneasy?

41. Is it true that in England you even considered handing over Madeleine's custody to a relative?

42. In England, did you medicate your children? What type of medication?

43. In the case files you were SHOWN CANINE forensic testing films, where you can see them marking due to detection of the scent of human corpse and blood traces, also human, and only human, as well as all the comments of the technician in charge of them. After watching and after the marking of the scent of corpse in your bedroom beside the wardrobe and behind the sofa, pushed up against the sofa wall, did you say you couldn't explain any more than you already had?

44. When the sniffer dog also marked human blood behind the sofa, did you say you couldn't explain any more than you already had?

45. When the sniffer dog marked the scent of corpse coming from the vehicle you hired a month after the disappearance, did you say you couldn't explain any more than you already had?

46. When human blood was marked in the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn't explain any more than you already had?

47. When confronted with the results of Maddie's DNA, whose analysis was carried out in a British laboratory, collected from behind the sofa and the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn't explain any more than you already had?

48. Did you have any responsibility or intervention in your daughter's disappearance?

A QUESTION SHE DID ANSWER

Q. Are you aware that in not answering the questions you are jeopardising the investigation, which seeks to discover what happened to your daughter?

A. 'Yes, if that's what the investigation thinks.'

Anonymous said...

More questions that Kate refused to answer.

1. On May 3 2007, around 22:00, when you entered the apartment, what did you see? What did you do? Where did you look? What did you touch?

2. Did you search inside the bedroom wardrobe? (she replied that she wouldn't answer)

3. (shown 2 photographs of her bedroom wardrobe) Can you describe its contents?

4. Why had the curtain behind the sofa in front of the side window (whose photo was shown to her) been tampered with? Did somebody go behind that sofa?

5. How long did your search of the apartment take after you detected your daughter Madeleine's disappearance?

6. Why did you say from the start that Madeleine had been abducted?

7. Assuming Madeleine had been abducted, why did you leave the twins home alone to go to the Tapas and raise the alarm? Because the supposed abductor could still be in the apartment.

8. Why didn't you ask the twins, at that moment, what had happened to their sister or why didn't you ask them later on?

9. When you raised the alarm at the Tapas what exactly did you say and what were your exact words?

10. What happened after you raised the alarm in the Tapas?

I thought the best place for this was here...
A lot of nonsense of course. The Express were the ones picked out and agreed an out of court settlement with the Mccanns.I think they are trying to rattle a few cages.

If this were possible then the Mccanns may be worried. Mr.Martin Smith gave a police statement that he is 80% sure that the man he saw carrying a child through PDL was Gerry Mccann. He made this statement when seeing Mccann arrive at the airport after being made an arguido.
I have often wondered how true could this be? I was even more puzzled when Dr.Gerald changed the witness statement of Mr.Smith to match Jane Tanners, when doing his reconstruction in PDL.
Tanner said she saw a man carrying a child across his body. Martin Smith in his witness statement said the childs head was resting on the mans left shoulder. The exact description of how Mccann carried a very deep sleeping Sean from the aircraft.Yet in Mccanns version Martin Smiths man was seen to also be carrying a child across his body. Again, I ask why did Mccann change this witness statement?

According to Amarals book , which is about the Investigation. The Mccanns were due to be questioned again on the Monday (They left on the Sunday)Mr.Smith was also due to arrive that week to speak with PJ.
I again find it strange that the Mccanns actually had a man come forward to agree with Tanners sighting and the Mccanns never mention this.Makes me wonder just how important is Mr.Smiths information.I guess we will never know .

All witness statements can be found in DVD files.

Satellites deviated on the night of the crime

by João Mira Godinho/Paulo Marcelino

The satellite images of Praia da Luz, on the night of the 3rd of May 2007, were one of the PJ’s first concerns when the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann started. Nonetheless, at that time, the North American authorities informed that they did not exist because the satellites had been deviated that night.

‘It was said that the two geostationary satellites [which could have images of Praia da Luz] were rotated towards the Gulf of Cadiz, where a navy exercise was taking place’, Gonçalo Amaral, the former PJ coordinator who led the case investigation, explains to Correio da Manhã.

‘It was a very serious possibility for learning who the abductor was, and more’, says Gonçalo Amaral, adding that the Judiciária wanted the images from the moment of the disappearance, but also ‘those of the hours and even days that preceded it’.

Confronted with the information that the satellites had been deviated, the PJ ended up making no formal request. ‘I have doubts that anyone else tried to access those images’, says the former PJ coordinator, questioning the reason why ‘the McCann couple, that says it is powerful, never tried to obtain the images in order to solve the mysterious disappearance’.

Contacted by Correio da Manhã yesterday, Clarence Mitchell, Kate and Gerry McCann’s spokesperson, justified that ‘the images that existed two years ago were useless’. He states that ‘if there were images, the abductor would have been caught a long time ago’ and denies any recent request from the British authorities to obtain the registers.

‘As far as we know, no diplomatic effort in that sense is being made’, the McCanns’ spokesperson asserted.

The British authorities yesterday denied that they were making any diplomatic contact in order to obtain the North American satellites’ registers.

The McCanns left their three children alone in a hotel room so the couple could have fun. Automatically this awakens suspicious of what else they would do, such as give the kids prescription medicine (both parents are physicians) to make them sleep while the parents were away.

Mail-Order Maddie 'Was Snatched by Crime Lord'
25 October 2009 | Posted by Joana Morais Leave a Comment
By Scott Hesketh

MADDIE McCann was a “mail-order kid” snatched by a scarfaced North African crime lord, according to explosive new claims revealed today.

Police are now hunting an Algerian mafia boss who allegedly bragged to British associates in Portugal just weeks after the child’s disappearance.

He told them he had snatched Madeleine in a £100,000 “steal-to- order” kidnap plot.

And the Daily Star Sunday can reveal that police are set to quiz two jailed British gangsters believed to have heard his shock claims.

After a tip-off from underworld sources, detectives want to quiz Liverpool drug baron Paul Bennett, 45 – behind bars for perverting justice after going on the run for eight years in the Algarve.

They are also keen to talk to James Neil, 40, a business partner of Bennett and an associate of caged Notts drug baron Colin Gunn.

Both men and our source – who is also a top-level gangster – were running a lucrative entertainment protection racket in Portugal.

A shadowy Algerian, who went by the names Younis and Tariq and was staying in Albufeira, allegedly tried to muscle in with his Moroccan-based mob.

Our source, who was based just 15 minutes from the Praia da Luz resort from where two-year-old Maddie was abducted in May 2007, said: “This fella heard what Bennett was doing and wanted a slice.

“He was a nasty piece of work – a heavy-hitter drug dealer who also talked about mail-order kids.

“The kids were nicked to order – snatched and delivered to wealthy people for big cash payouts.

“Bennett and Jamie thought they could negotiate with this guy but he was just looking at them thinking that they were a couple of big, roast chickens and he was going to gobble the lot up.

“In one meeting, before Maddie vanished, the Algerian said he’d taken kids from other parts of Europe and sold them on to rich families in Morocco.

“After Maddie was gone, we had another business meeting and he just came right out with it and said he and his team had done Maddie.

“The Algerian said Maddie had been taken away by ferry and joked about mail-order kids again.

“I don’t think he was bothered whether she was sold to paedophiles or just a family.

“He was only interested in the money. It was around 100 grand.”

The Algerian – black, with cropped hair and facial scars – is “known to police in Portugal”.

Last night a police spokesman in Leicestershire where the McCanns live, said: “We have no comment to make.”

Gangster Paul Bennett freed after eight years on the run across Europe

A NOTORIOUS Liverpool gangster was freed from a Portuguese prison after fighting extradition back to the UK. Fugitive Paul Bennett was arrested in June on the Algarve after eight years on the run. But today the 42-year-old from Anfield was a free man after time ran out and Portuguese officials had to let him go.

Bennett was wanted by detectives who suspected him of being involved in a con which led to him and associate John Haase being given a royal pardon in 1996.

He fled the UK in 1999 after police uncovered a cannabis farm in Manchester.

After his arrest at Faro airport he fought the Metropolitan police’s attempts to bring him home. His extradition case and subsequent appeal was heard by both the Supreme and Constitutional courts in Portugal.

But before a decision was reached on the second appeal the time limit for keeping Bennett in custody expired and under Portuguese law he was set free. The ruling is seen as a massive blow for the Met who have already charged 58-year-old Haase, originally from Everton, with perverting the course of justice.

Bennett was released from prison in Beja but few in Liverpool’s underworld expect him to come back to Merseyside. A Foreign Office spokesman said: “Paul Bennett was released from detention when his custody time limit expired.

“He had appealed against his extradition and under Portuguese law the authorities had no alternative but to let him go free when that time limit was up.”

Bennett and Haase were originally arrested in 1993 by customs officers investigating a massive heroin trafficking plot. The following January they were registered as official informers by HM Customs. It led to two “massive” weapons seizures, including 150 firearms and explosives, being made on Merseyside.

After pleading guilty in June 1995 to heroin distribution they were sentenced to 18 years in jail.

But 11 months later they were granted a royal pardon by then home secretary Michael Howard on the advice of officials convinced their “cooperation” over the weapons find was genuine.

Haase is one of seven people awaiting trial over allegations he and his criminal contacts planted the weapons.

This latest 'development 'in the search for madeleine is very interestin. I do not know if anyone remembers sometime back now a GNR officer has been suspended from duty because it is alleged he had a large amount of money in his account. This amount of money 'just happens' to be roughly the same amount in this latest police search by mccanns detective...Coincidence...Here is the article from ,..The Mccann Files..

Maddie case: GNR officer suspected of receiving 120 thousand euros, 19 June 2009
Maddie case: GNR officer suspected of receiving 120 thousand euros tvi24

He was one of the first agents to arrive in Praia da Luz. PJ is already investigating the handover of "live" money

19-06-2009 20: 33
Thanks to Astro for translation

One of the Guarda Nacional Republicana agents who was first to arrive at the resort in Praia da Luz and at the McCann couple's apartment is suspected of having received over 120 thousand euros of "live" money, a short time after Maddie's disappearance. This GNR officer is essential to the entire investigation, given the fact that he was among the first to arrive at the location where the little girl disappeared, and also one of the first people to get into contact with the parents.

TVI has established that the case of the sudden 120 thousand euros in the GNR officer's hands is being investigated by the Polícia Judiciária (PJ).

On the night that Maddie McCann disappeared, the first authorities to arrive on location were the GNR officers. It was their task to search the apartment, to perform the initial searches, to speak with the McCann couple, and to direct the searches on the beach and in the village, namely the open areas where sewer and piping works were under way, only tens of metres away from the resort that the British family had booked for their holidays.

Gerry's suspicious walk

According to depositions that were made within the process, the GNR agents even witnessed a walk by Gerry McCann, late in the night, near the church in Praia da Luz. All fundamental moments to understand what happened to the missing child.

TVI knows that one of the first agents that took care of the event is being targeted by an inquiry. The issue is an amount of over 120 thousand euros that were received in cash, in two bank accounts under his name, one of which at Caixa Geral de Depósitos. The most serious coincidence is that the money started being deposited, on those accounts, only a short time after the disappearance of little Madeleine McCann.

This amount is much higher than that of a GNR officer's salary and was deposited on "live" money, according to investigation sources, in parts of over 10 thousand euros.

Officer denies deposits

The investigation into these deposits is being carried out by DCICCEF [Central Directory for the Investigation of Corruption and Economical and Financial Crime], which tries to understand the reasons for these payments. Even if their illegality is proved, a connection to the Maddie case may not exist, despite the strong temporal coincidence and the high amount of money.

Contacted by TVI, the officer denied the existence of said deposits, having offered the possibility that his name was unduly used to open those accounts. Police sources in the area manifested their strangeness concerning the possibility that this officer, whom they consider of honest reputation, could be involved in illegal actions.

Simple really isn't it no crook is going to look at 1.5 million and forget about the reward if they knew where the child was or who snatched her.

Unless of course who ever did snatch her if there was a snatching is deceased.

Why snatch a child for 100k when you can point to her where abouts for 1.5 mil.

There is only one other thought and that is if she was snatched and is alive 1.5 mil is nothing to the person/s who may have her which would mean they were very stinking rich

Why did they, as they state, leave the apartment door unlocked "in case of fire", when Kate also stated that if they'd had to think about leaving the children for even a second that they wouldn't have?

Is fire risk not enough to make someone stop and think - well they thought to leave the door unlocked (if they really did) so that makes her statement null and void.

Oh, if only Fr Pacheco would unburden himself of what it was that made him such a changed man, even at the risk of defrocking...
